Anaesthetics

Innovar [in ovum] is a drug combination that consists of:
- Droperidol [drop idol statue]
- Fentanyl [fan for tanning]
- Has antipsychotic properties [crosses out apparition]
Ketamine [cat mine]
- Absence-like anaesthesia: patients appear awake but are unconscious [blank eyes]
- Side effects:
  - Nightmares [horror dream]
  - Low blood pressure with tachycardia [running heart]
Propofol [propeller fall]
- Fast acting [red "speed" streaks]
- Induces sleep ["Zzzz"]
- Lowers blood pressure [falling BP]
- Lowers cranial pressure [falling CSF level]
Lidocaine [lid cain (from Bible, Cain stabbed his brother)] - sodium channel blocker [salt blocked from entering the neuron]
