Co-trimoxazole [cooperative trimming of ox's asshole] - a drug combination that consists of:
Sulfamethoxazole [sulfur met ox's asshole (yellow granule=sulfur)]
Trimethoprim [tri methyl prime (1 degree for the nose)]
Effective against:
Chlamydia [clam]
Nocardia [all blue but no heart]
Enterococcus [entering coccus]
Neisseria [diplococcal ornament above the door]
Pneumocystis carinii [lung with red cysts]
Pneumocystis carinii can also be treated with pentamidine in sulfa-allergic patients, but cotrimoxazole is preferred [the sulfur granule in ox's ass is the sh*t for P. carinii]
Side effects include vomiting, pancytopenia [vomiting onto a pan] and rash [red spots]
Sulfasalazine is used to treat Crohn-Lesniowski disease [Crowned crow sitting in a bowl of sulfur salad]
Sulfisoxazole [sulfur-sucks asshole]
Effective against:
Salmonella [salmon]
Shigella [shagging Ela]
Eliminated in urine. Can lead to crystalluria [crystals in urine]
